Expensive frozen yogurt operations, watch out. You've been undercut.
Walking by this hardly noticeable storefront, I noticed an ad for all-natural, non-fat, frozen yogurt in the window of what appeared to be a boba shop. I had a craving for the stuff so I popped in, expecting a less-than-ideal experience. Boy, was I [quickly] mistaken.
Though a menu of various sizes and options was displayed (small, medium with 3 toppings, etc.) the girl at the counter told me that they have only "one size" and showed me an 8 oz. cup. I nodded, confusedly, in go-with-the-flow approval. The plain flavor with one topping cost me a whopping $1.57. I believe the frozen yogurt itself was only $.59, and the topping the remaining dollar. Ha ha ha! But make no mistake about it, this is really delicious yogurt, I think even better than Fraiche in its tartness and creaminess. Don't let the liquidation prices or the deceptive menu fool you.
The mango topping was good, too. By the likes of how long it took the countergirl to dish it out [read: NOT quickly], I believe she cut it on-demand. But hey, this is worth the wait--truth in advertising be damned.
I will definitely be back, and quickly.ET C, Palo Alto, CA
I recently tried their frozen yogurt and was amazed at how good it is. I wasn't expecting much so when the tangy flavor hit my taste buds, I was an instant fan. Highly recommend this place for a good frozen dessert, especially during the summer!Mary L, San Carlos, CA
I'm only giving them 4 stars because they sell dreyer's tart fro-yo here. And you know what? It was sooooo good. Just as good when I tried pinkberry in NY. And it was cheap. For a medium size with three toppings it was only $3.99! And the girl that helped me really loaded up on the toppings there which was awesome.
I'm minusing a star just because I think they only have plain tart, but they do have a good selection of toppings and more exotic stuff (well at least for san mateo non-asian folks): red bean, aloe, lychee coconut and so forth...
it's kinda amusing to sit and eat yogurt or whatever else they have here because you'll easily be drawn by the cheesy HK pop performances and videos...Pippi L, South S.F., CA
The 59 cents froyo got us in there. The original yogurt flavor was really close to the Michaelis Spirits in Cow Hollows. Close - much closer than Tutti Melon. It was pretty good, and at 59 cents, how can you go wrong?Annie Y, San Francisco, CA
